In a grand pre-release event held in Mumbai on June 19, the makers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ witnessed a heartwarming moment as Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan humbly touched producer Ashwini C Dutt’s feet. The gesture occurred after Bachchan received the first ticket for the upcoming film.
Director Ram Gopal Varma, known for his association with Bachchan in films like the ‘Sarkar’ trilogy and ‘Nishabd’, expressed his admiration for the gesture on social media. He remarked, “Here is the upper limit of achievement for Ashwini Dutt by Amitabh Bachchan doing this. I doubt from N T Rama Rao onwards till the latest young heroes anybody would have done this.”
‘Kalki 2898 AD’, directed by Nag Ashwin, features Bachchan in the role of Ashwatthama, with his appearance in the trailer generating considerable excitement among fans. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on June 27, promising a unique cinematic experience.
