In a significant development for Tollywood enthusiasts anticipating the Sankranti releases, the film industry has managed to satiate the eager audience with four major films: Ravi Teja’s ‘Eagle,’ Mahesh Babu’s ‘Guntur Kaaram,’ Teja Sajaa’s ‘Hanu Man,’ and Nagarjuna’s ‘Naa Saami Ranga.’ However, recent discussions among Tollywood filmmakers on Wednesday indicate a potential shift in the Sankranti race, with ‘Eagle’ likely to be postponed.
According to reports from FilmiBeat, the council, led by Dil Raju, urged filmmakers to reconsider their Pongal releases. They recommended withdrawing from the current clash and suggested opting for single release dates in the future to avoid box office clashes, ensuring a smoother run for each film. It appears that ‘Eagle,’ initially slated for a January 13 release, is now on track for postponement.
Directed by Karthik Ghattamneni, the film features Ravi Teja, Anupama Parameswaran, Kavya Thapar, Navdeep, Srinivas Avasarala, and Madhoo in pivotal roles, with music composed by Davzand.
This decision might disappoint Ravi Teja’s fans, considering the completion of all post-production and censorship processes for the film. While full-fledged promotions are yet to kick off, the movie is contemplating withdrawal from the race, aiming for an indefinite postponement. Any alterations to the release schedule are expected to be formally announced by the makers in the near future.
