In a year marked by hits like ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan,’ Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated third venture, ‘Dunki.’ Teaming up with acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has only intensified the excitement surrounding the project. Following the teaser release on November 2, coinciding with SRK’s birthday, fans have been eagerly awaiting further updates. Recent reports suggest that an exciting revelation is in store for this week.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the first song from the film is expected to be released this week, with a strong possibility of a launch today, November 20, as it coincides with Rajkumar Hirani’s birthday. The strategic release on the esteemed filmmaker’s birthday follows the pattern set by an earlier asset release on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday.
While there might be a slight delay, sources indicate that the plan is to unveil the first song, titled ‘Loot Toot,’ within the week. In a previous teaser shared by SRK, he described ‘Dunki’ as “a story of simple and real people trying to fulfill their dreams and desires. Of friendship, love, and being together… Of being in a relationship called Home!”
The report also reveals that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has certified a total of six teasers, with the remaining five set to be released in due course. ‘Dunki’ is scheduled for release in India on December 22, followed by a global release on December 21. Notably, the film will be competing with Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s ‘Salaar – Part One: Ceasefire’ on the same date.
