However, despite high expectations, the film fell short, and Shine’s character became the subject of online trolling.
In a recent interview with The New Indian Express, Shine Tom Chacko was questioned about his confidence in signing ‘Beast.’ In response, he candidly expressed doubts about the project, stating, “I’m not sure if even the makers had confidence in the project.”
The actor went on to raise logical concerns about the storyline, particularly questioning the feasibility of one man single-handedly defeating a group of terrorists. Shine highlighted a specific scene in the movie where Vijay lifts him and walks in slow motion, a moment that became a target for online mockery. Shine questioned the realism of such a scenario, asking, “But can someone walk casually like that while carrying such a huge weight?”
Addressing the trolling, Shine Tom Chacko attributed it to herd mentality, emphasizing that people tend to agree automatically when a certain narrative gains momentum. He drew parallels with widely accepted facts, stating, “It’s like saying the Earth is spherical in shape.” The actor acknowledged that criticism often stems from the collective opinion of a few, echoing the sentiment that the 11th person tends to agree when the preceding ten express a certain viewpoint.
