Actress Shruti Haasan has officially joined the cast of the upcoming Yash starrer, “Toxic,” according to exclusive information shared with ETimes. Sources reveal that Haasan will play a significant role in the film. This announcement comes following her last on-screen appearance in “Salaar,” where she starred opposite Prabhas.
“Toxic” features Yash in the lead role and is directed by Geetu Mohandas. There are ongoing speculations suggesting that Kareena Kapoor might also be a part of the film, marking her Kannada debut. Kapoor hinted at her involvement in a recent interaction, exciting fans about her role in what she described as a “very big South film.” Although Kapoor didn’t disclose details, many believe she was referring to her potential role in “Toxic.”
The film, touted as Yash’s 19th project, released a teaser video recently. Produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions, “Toxic” hinted at its storyline with the tagline, “A fairytale for grown-ups.” Scheduled for an April 2025 release, the film has garnered significant attention ahead of its premiere.
