Sonakshi Sinha has captivated audiences with her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest film, ‘Heeramandi.’ Confident in her craft, she asserts that with the right roles and directors, she can truly work wonders on screen.
In a recent interview, Sonakshi discussed her preference for women-led films over the past eight years, noting that she hasn’t faced any obstacles due to this decision. She explained to PTI, “I’ve worked with established and absolute newcomer directors because I believed in them. Everybody should be given a chance; I was also new at some point of time. If a director has a vision and if I can help him execute that vision, I would love to work with them. If you give me the right roles and right directors, I can do magic.”
Sonakshi emphasized that she seeks roles that challenge her limits and help her develop her skills. By taking on demanding roles that tested her abilities, she has grown as an actor. Reflecting on her journey, she acknowledged that these experiences have significantly shaped her into the artist she is today. She highlighted her focus on choosing films with female leads and expressed her enjoyment of this path. Despite the varying success of these movies, she has not been discouraged. It’s been approximately seven to eight years since she embarked on this journey, and she has no regrets.
On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha will next appear in the horror comedy ‘Kakuda,’ directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The film also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem. Additionally, she has ‘Nikita Roy and The Book of Darkness’ in the pipeline.
