In a cinematic whirlwind, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial venture, ‘Animal,’ has taken the box office by storm, amassing an impressive Rs 450 crore within a mere two weeks of its release. Beyond its monetary success, the film is generating buzz for its exploration of ‘toxic masculinity.’
Sunny Deol, a prominent figure in Bollywood and brother to one of the film’s stars, Bobby Deol, recently shared his insights on ‘Animal’ in an exclusive interview with PTI. Despite expressing his genuine happiness for Bobby’s stellar performance, Sunny didn’t shy away from acknowledging certain elements in the film that didn’t quite resonate with him.
“I am genuinely happy for Bobby. I have watched ‘Animal,’ and I liked it; it’s a nice film. There are certain things that I did not like, which I don’t like in many films, including my own films. But that’s as a person; I have the right to like or not like. In totality, it is a nice film. The music is very good and goes hand in glove with the sequences. Bobby has always been Bobby, but now he is Lord Bobby,” remarked Sunny Deol.
Released on December 1, ‘Animal’ features a stellar cast, including Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor in lead roles. The film delves into the complexities of a man entangled in a strained relationship with his father, adding depth to its intriguing narrative.
