The teaser for Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, was finally unveiled by the makers on February 12, 2025. The Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi versions of the teaser feature narrations by Jr NTR, Suriya, and Ranbir Kapoor, respectively.
The 1-minute and 55-second teaser showcases Vijay in an intense and powerful role, portraying a character determined to protect his people. Along with the teaser release, the makers have also announced that the movie will hit theaters on May 30, 2025.
While JR NTR has provided the voice-over narration for the Telugu version of Kingdom’s teaser, Suriya has lent his voice for the Tamil version. The Hindi version of the teaser is narrated by Ranbir Kapoor with the movie being titled Saamraajya in Hindi.
The teaser of Kingdom is set against a war backdrop, depicting people struggling and suffering for survival. As the narration progresses and the intensity builds, a hero emerges—rising as the savior of the people and standing up for them.
Beyond the powerful narration and gripping moments, the film introduces a striking new look for Vijay Deverakonda, who sports a buzz cut and a thick beard. With this raw and rugged appearance, Vijay seamlessly transforms into an intense character, further amplified by a high-energy background score composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Directed by Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film is touted to be an action thriller, with Vijay reportedly playing the role of a police officer. However, further details about the movie and its characters are yet to be revealed. While Vijay takes on the lead role, the rest of the cast remains undisclosed.
Initially, Kingdom was scheduled for release on March 28, 2025, but it has now been officially postponed to May 2025.
