In a highly anticipated reveal, the Acro Trip anime adaptation, initially unveiled to the public in 2022 and set for release this year, has treated fans to an extensive teaser trailer and a captivating key visual. The teaser introduces viewers to the central character, Chizuko Date, who becomes entangled in a momentary clash between the enchanting magical girl Berry Blossom and the menacing villain Chroma.
The curtain has been lifted on these enticing glimpses into the series, accompanied by the announcement of the main cast that breathes life into the characters. Miku Itou assumes the role of Chizuko, with Inori Minase and Nobunaga Shimazaki providing the voices for Berry Blossom/Kaju Noichigo and Chroma, respectively. Adding a touch of charm to the ensemble, Kengo Kawanishi lends his voice to the mascot character Mashiro.
Beyond the cast, additional revelations include key staff members, solidifying the creative foundation of Acro Trip. Miwa Kawasaki, recognized for her work as an assistant art director on Orange, serves as the art director. The musical atmosphere is crafted by TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND.
Based on Yone Sawata’s comedic manga published by Shueisha, Acro Trip embarked on its serialized journey in Ribon in 2017, concluding with the release of its fifth and final tankoubon volume in 2023.
Guiding the helm of Acro Trip is director Ayumu Kotake, previously the assistant director for Pet, with Shinichi Inotsume, known for Spy Classroom, contributing as the series composer. Toshie Kawamura, recognized for her work on Yes! Precure 5, takes on the responsibility of character designer. Notably, this venture marks the inaugural production by Voil, a studio founded in March 2022 under the stewardship of former Genos Studio producer Katsuki Ootaka, renowned for his role as the animation producer for Pet.
