In a significant development in the world of Malayalam cinema, actors Sharaf U Dheen and Aishwarya Lekshmi have joined forces for an upcoming fantasy-comedy film titled ‘Hello Mummy.’ The much-anticipated project was officially launched on Sunday, February 4, with a muhurat puja function.
The film, set to unfold its whimsical tale, has commenced shooting in Mala, a quaint town nestled in the Thrissur district. Boasting an ensemble cast, ‘Hello Mummy’ includes Aju Varghese, Jagadish, Johny Antony, Bindhu Panicker, Adhri Joe, Sruthy Suresh, Ganga Meera, and Joemon Jyothir in pivotal supporting roles.
Venturing into the world of feature films, ad filmmaker Vaishakh Elans is making his directorial debut with ‘Hello Mummy.’ The creative vision behind the screenplay is credited to Sanjo Joseph, known for his work on ‘Falimy.’
Adding a touch of diversity, Sunny Hinduja, recognized for his performances in Hindi films and notable web series like ‘Aspirants,’ ‘The Family Man,’ and ‘The Railway Men,’ will be making his Malayalam debut through this film.
The cinematography for ‘Hello Mummy’ is in the capable hands of Praveen Kumar, a former associate of the acclaimed Santosh Sivan. Editing duties are entrusted to Chaman Chacko, renowned for his work on blockbusters such as ‘2018’ and ‘RDX.’ Jakes Bejoy, a popular musician, is set to compose the music for the film, with Muhsin Parari taking on the role of lyricist. Costume design is handled by Sameera Saneesh, while Ronex Xavier is responsible for makeup. Sabu Mohan spearheads the production design, and Sync Cinema is behind the sound design. Vishak R Warrier serves as the chief associate, P C Stunts choreographs the action, and Sherif is responsible for dance choreography.
