In a recent revelation, it has come to light that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was involved in a significant accident while filming “Don 2” back in 2011. During a chase sequence shot in Berlin, Khan crashed a car, resulting in damages amounting to a staggering Rs 2.6 crores. The incident, recounted by his co-star Alyy Khan in an interview with Dawn News, detailed how Khan, known for his adeptness at stunts, misjudged a shot that involved intricate equipment mounted on the vehicle.
Alyy Khan recalled the scene where Khan, confident after a successful rehearsal, assured him moments before the mishap, “I’ve driven a lot in my day, but thankfully I’ve never had a major accident.” However, during the actual take, Khan’s miscalculation led to a collision, marking what he described as one of his most embarrassing moments on a film set.
“Don 2,” directed by Farhan Akhtar, starred Khan alongside Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta, and despite the mishap, the film went on to achieve commercial success upon its release. Akhtar, who recently celebrated 20 years of his film “Lakshya,” hinted at a future collaboration with Khan, expressing optimism about working together again after their successful partnership on the “Don” series.
Shah Rukh Khan, a prominent figure in Indian cinema, has continued to be a pivotal force in Bollywood, with his last major appearance in the 2017 film “Raees,” co-produced by Akhtar’s production house.
