In the latest legal development, actress Tiffany Haddish, 44, has entered a not guilty plea through her attorney in response to two misdemeanor DUI charges arising from her November arrest. The charges, filed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, include driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a 0.08 percent blood alcohol content, as reported by deadline.com.
A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for February 14 to address the charges. Haddish was apprehended by the Beverly Hills Police Department at approximately 5:45 a.m. on November 24, according to jail records. She was subsequently released on the same day.
According to tmz.com, Haddish was found in her stationary vehicle “in the middle of Beverly Drive… apparently slumped over the wheel while the car was running.”
The incident occurred following Haddish’s performance at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood, where she participated in the club’s 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast for the community.
This isn’t the first time the actress has faced DUI charges. Haddish was arrested on suspicion of DUI near Atlanta in January 2022 and had previously pleaded not guilty. The outcome of that case is still pending.
