In a highly anticipated collaboration, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and director Shashank Khaitan are set to join forces for the third time. Following the success of their previous ventures, “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” and “Badrinath Ki Dulhania,” the duo is embarking on a new love story titled #SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari.
Unlike their previous collaborations with actress Alia Bhatt, this time around, Janhvi Kapoor will be stepping into the leading role alongside Varun Dhawan. This marks their second project together, following their earlier film “Bawaal.” Janhvi Kapoor reunites with director Shashank Khaitan, who previously directed her in her debut film, “Dhadak.”
Initially rumored to be part of the Dulhania series, which Varun and Shashank have cultivated over the years, it was later clarified by producer Karan Johar. Johar addressed the speculation on his Instagram account, urging the media to refrain from conjecture until official details are confirmed by Dharma Productions.
Karan Johar stated, “Every morning I wake up to news that is not an official confirmation by Dharma Productions… would request members of the media to please not conjecture about the continuance of a franchise or the beginning of one! We will give details when the time and plans are formulated and fructified! We are humbled by the excitement shown to our future films but would love to have accuracy instead of speculation… Respectfully, Karan Johar.”
The Varun-Janhvi-Shashank film is scheduled for release on April 18th, 2025, and boasts a musical score by Pritam with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
