Director Prasanth Varma and the ‘Hanu-Man’ team, featuring Teja Sajja, are actively promoting their film with the recent release of its third single, ‘Avakaya Anjaneya.’ Following the launch of ‘Superhero Hanuman’ on Children’s Day, this groovy folk number with massy beats showcases a unique blend of tradition and action.
The song, crafted by composer Anudeeep Dev, begins with Amritha Aiyer and elderly women preparing avakaya pickle, only to face a threat from masked men. Teja Sajja, donned as Hanumanthu, swoops in for a powerful rescue, seamlessly integrating pickle-making tradition with action sequences.
Simhachalam Mannela penned the lyrics, and Galidevara Sahiti provided lively vocals. Teja Sajja’s dynamic performance complements the well-designed action in the song. While ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ and ‘Superhero Hanuman’ offered a devotional and humorous tone, respectively, ‘Avakaya Anjaneya’ introduces a folk flavor to the film’s diverse soundtrack.
Featuring Vinay Rai as the antagonist and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in a key role, ‘Hanu-Man’ is the first film within Prasanth Varma’s Cinematic Universe, set in the imaginary place of ‘Anjanadri.’ Scheduled for a Pan World release on January 12, 2024, in multiple Indian languages as well as English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese, the movie boasts a universal concept.
The cast includes Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai, Getup Srinu, Satya, Raj Deepak Shetty, among others. Cinematography is handled by Shivendra, with Srinagendhra Tangala serving as the production designer.
