Renowned Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi is currently on a hiatus from work, standing by his family during a difficult period following the tragic loss of his brother-in-law in a car accident.
The incident occurred while Tripathi was in his village, dispelling rumors that his sister and brother-in-law were en route to watch the shooting of his upcoming project. According to reports from Hindustan Times, the family is grappling with shock and grief but is striving to cope with the tragedy.
Tripathi’s sister, who was also involved in the accident, is reported to be in stable condition. Plans are underway to transfer her to a hospital in Kolkata for further treatment.
Clarifying his absence from filming activities, sources confirm that Tripathi was on a break and present in his village at the time of the incident. He is presently taking time to mourn the loss and find solace with his family.
The actor is expected to return to Mumbai in early May, where he will resume filming for his upcoming projects, including Anurag Basu’s film and the next installment of the web series Criminal Justice.
Tragedy struck last week when Tripathi’s brother-in-law, Rajesh Tiwari, lost his life in a car accident near Nirsa Chowk on GT Road in Dhanbad. Tripathi’s sister, Sabita Tiwari, sustained critical injuries in the crash.
