In a recent development, a female media professional has filed a formal complaint against actor Darshan Jariwala at a Kolkata police station, alleging cheating in their relationship. The complainant, whose identity is protected due to the ongoing legal proceedings, has also reached out to the Cine And TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA), confirming their receipt of the complaint.
The complainant revealed details about her relationship with Jariwala, claiming they had a “gandharv vivaah” and disclosed that she is currently pregnant with his child. Accusing Jariwala of disowning her, she has called for CINTAA to take action, specifically urging the removal of Jariwala from the Vice President position.
According to sources, Darshan Jariwala has presented his side of the story in a meeting with CINTAA members. However, it has been learned that CINTAA may not intervene in the case, as the matter does not fall within its purview. A source explained, “Since the image of CINTAA and his personal reputation is getting affected, he is taking prompt legal action on all fronts.”
In response to the serious allegations, Darshan Jariwala’s legal representative, Advocate Saveena Bedi Sachar from Lawhive Associates, issued a statement asserting the actor’s innocence. The statement emphasized the importance of upholding the presumption of innocence until proven guilty and underscored the necessity for a fair and impartial legal process.
