In an exclusive interview with Instant Bollywood, actress Shilpa Shetty shared insights into her experience working with renowned filmmaker Rohit Shetty on his upcoming web series, ‘Indian Police Force.’ Shilpa, set to portray the first female cop in Shetty’s cop universe, playfully referred to the question about her likes and dislikes regarding the director as a “panga” (problem).
During the interview, Shilpa expressed her admiration for Rohit Shetty’s distinctive style and swag in presenting actors. She mentioned the positive aspects of working with him, acknowledging his diva persona and describing him as a bit of a tyrant on set. However, she emphasized that these qualities contribute positively to the overall work environment, contributing to self-preservation.
Further shedding light on Shetty’s unique working style, Shilpa, in a previous conversation with Film Companion, highlighted the director’s unconventional approach on set. Unlike traditional film sets where actors engage in extensive rehearsals and choreography discussions, Shetty personally rehearses entire scenes with his assistants. Actors then observe, ensuring a clear understanding of the director’s vision. Shilpa commended this innovative method for its efficiency, saving valuable time during production. Additionally, she praised Shetty’s meticulous attention to detail, involving himself in decisions related to costumes, hair, makeup, and every aspect of the set.
The highly anticipated ‘Indian Police Force’ features a stellar cast including Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi in lead roles.
