Emphasizing their preference for old-school love, they advocate for a more deliberate and measured approach to relationships.
Lankesh expressed his disdain for dating apps, asserting that love can be discovered anywhere with sufficient effort. He highlighted his perspective on love, emphasizing the importance of good company, shared laughter, and mutual sanity. In contrast, Iyer criticized hookup culture and stressed the significance of clearly defining a relationship’s trajectory, deeming the absence of labels as a major red flag.
The duo also addressed the challenges faced by their generation in the realm of dating, with Iyer pointing out the prevalent issue of seeking external validation and projecting insecurities onto others. She strongly disapproved of using others to fill personal voids and expecting them to alleviate insecurities.
Samarjit Lankesh outlined his red flags in relationships, which included rudeness, lack of care, mistreatment, and disrespect. Saanya Iyer echoed similar sentiments, listing hypocrisy, dishonesty, lack of respect, disregard for personal space and time, and any form of abuse as warning signs in the dating context.
