Actor Alok Pandey, known for his roles in “Batla House” and “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story,” is currently on a professional high with multiple projects in the pipeline. Recently in Lucknow for a film shoot where he plays the lead, the Bhartendu Natya Akademi (BNA) alumnus couldn’t help but praise the city’s vibrant atmosphere.
“I am always excited to shoot in Lucknow. Kaafi saalon se shooting ke liye aata raha hoon. Yahan apne log, apni boli hai jo ki hamesha ek energy deta hai kaam karne ke liye. Shooting in Lucknow is like an energy booster. It feels like I am shooting at my home. And it is good to see that Lucknow is slowly becoming a hub for shooting, and I hope to come back soon for another one,” he shared.
Alok Pandey recently appeared in the web series “Bambai Meri Jaan,” portraying the brother-in-law of Kay Kay Menon. Having previously worked with Menon in “Special Ops,” Pandey expressed his admiration for the seasoned actor, saying, “The experience was absolutely fantastic. I am blessed to have worked with him twice already. But this time as our journey in the series was together so I got more time to learn from him. His mere presence in the scene fills you with a certain kind of energy and confidence. Whenever I got stuck in a scene, I used to go to him like a student and he used to help me in making the scene better. He is a very supportive person and helps any co-actor who wishes to seek his help.”
Discussing his upcoming projects, Pandey revealed, “I have several releases lined up like ‘Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba,’ the sequel to ‘Haseen Dillruba,’ starring Jimmy Shergill and Taapsee Pannu. Then I have Raj Babbar and Poonam Dhillon starrer ‘EK Kori Prem Katha’ coming up along with a web series ‘Shuru Ho Gai Pakdam Pakdi.’ Not to forget Konkana Sen Sharma and Arjun Rampal-starrer ‘The Rapist’ film which is being shown in the film festivals currently and will soon be released. I have played an important role in the film. I am also in talks for other new projects, but they are yet to be finalised.”
