Tollywood’s Leading Lady Samantha Ruth Prabhu Marks 14 Years in Film Industry
Celebrated actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu commemorated her 14th year in the film industry on February 26, receiving warm wishes from fellow actors and directors. Beginning her career with ‘Ye Maaya Cheasave,’ where she starred alongside ex-partner Nagachaitanya, Samantha has been a prominent figure in the South Indian film scene.
Director Atlee Kumar, currently enjoying the success of the box office hit ‘Jawan,’ joined the congratulatory messages. Atlee took to his Instagram story to share a picture with Samantha, taken during the filming of ‘Theri,’ a movie in which she played the lead role opposite Thalapathy Vijay and directed by Atlee himself. Expressing admiration for Samantha’s inspiring 14-year journey, Atlee wrote, “Congratulations Samantha Ruth Prabhu for 14 years inspiring, god bless thambii.”
The shared picture prompted a heartfelt response from Samantha, who reshared it and thanked Atlee for the warm wishes.
Samantha’s cinematic journey began with ‘Ye Maaya Chesave,’ directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film also had a Tamil version titled ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa,’ starring Trisha Krishna and Simbu, both of which were highly successful.
In a personal note, Samantha has faced challenges in recent years, including her separation from Nagachaitanya in 2021 and being diagnosed with the autoimmune disease myositis in 2022. Despite these hurdles, Samantha continues to be a resilient and inspirational figure in the film industry.
