In the latest episode of Molly Sims’ ‘Lipstick on the Rim’ podcast, Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz has finally addressed long-standing rumors surrounding Jamie Foxx’s alleged behavior on the set of ‘Back in Action,’ a film that marked her return to acting after a hiatus.
Contrary to speculation that Foxx’s conduct prompted her to quit acting for the second time, Diaz, 51, vehemently denied the reports. Speaking on the podcast, she expressed her frustration, saying, “I really hate all of the things that were being said about our set at the time. You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, ‘What are you talking about?'”
Addressing rumors that Foxx was responsible for making the set “miserable,” Diaz praised the actor, stating, “Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much. He’s such a special person and he’s so talented, so much fun.”
Acknowledging that there were “hiccups” on set, the ‘Bad Teacher’ actress attributed them to “natural things that happen.” Diaz clarified that the only unforeseen delay was caused by Foxx’s weeks-long hospitalization. Refusing to disclose details, she assured listeners that Foxx, 56, is currently “thriving.”
Diaz emphasized Foxx’s resilience and grace in the face of adversity, stating, “When I see and hear people trying to take another person down like that … [Jamie is] so classy. He’s like, ‘Nope. Just let them [talk].'”
‘Back in Action’ marks Diaz’s return to Hollywood since 2014, when she took a break to focus on starting a family. The film also marks the third collaboration between Diaz and Foxx, who previously worked together on ‘Any Given Sunday’ and ‘Annie.’
While Jamie Foxx has not directly addressed the rumored dispute with Diaz, he briefly spoke about an unexplained ailment that left him unable to walk. Foxx, an Oscar winner, mentioned the challenging experience during a recent acceptance speech, sharing, “I’ve been through some things. I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy because it’s tough when it’s almost over … when you see the tunnel. I saw the tunnel — I didn’t see the light,” according to Page Six. Foxx has not disclosed his diagnosis but hinted at “big things coming soon” in a recent post-hospitalization picture.
