In celebration of his 84th birthday, legendary playback singer KJ Yesudas was warmly greeted by fellow renowned artist KS Chithra. Reflecting on their shared musical journey, Chithra took to Twitter to express her heartfelt wishes for the iconic maestro, reminiscing about cherished moments. In a delightful tweet, she wrote, “Happy Birthday wishes to our beloved Gandharva gayakan, Dr. K. J. Yesudas Dasettan. You are a true inspiration and role model to all singers. May God almighty keep you happy, healthy, and on a never-ending musical journey. All our prayers. #KSChithra #KJYesudas #Dasettan.”
Traditionally, Yesudas commemorates his birthday at the sacred Kollur Mookambika Temple. However, due to his current residence in Dallas, US, the revered singer will be unable to visit the sacred place this year, adhering to cautious measures amid ongoing global health concerns. His last visit to the Mookambika Temple for his birthday was in 2020.
In honor of Yesudas’s special day, celebrations are scheduled at the Azeezia Convention Centre in Padivattom, Kochi. His unparalleled legacy continues to inspire and resonate with music enthusiasts worldwide.
