In a recent update from the Malayalam film industry, rising star Mathew Thomas is set to take the lead role in the upcoming film ‘Lovely.’ The film wrapped up its shoot in August of the previous year (2023), and the release date has now been officially confirmed by director Dileesh Karunakaran.
Dileesh Karunakaran, known for his work on ‘Tamaar Padaar’ and his contributions to Aashiq Abu’s films, took to Instagram to announce that ‘Lovely’ is scheduled for a May 2024 release. The film is described as a fantasy, with a unique twist where a housefly takes on the central character.
The cast of ‘Lovely’ includes notable actors such as Manoj K Jayan, KPAC Leela, Radhika from ‘Appan,’ Ashwathy Manoharan, Prashanth Murali, and Ganga Meera, each playing pivotal roles in the narrative.
Dileesh Karunakaran, who not only directs but also pens the script, has Aashiq Abu on board as the cinematographer. Kiran Das serves as the editor, while the music is composed by Vishnu Vijay, known for his work on films like ‘Guppy,’ ‘Ambili,’ ‘Thallumaala,’ ‘Sulaikha Manzil,’ and ‘Falimy.’
In other industry news, actor Rajesh Madhavan, known for ‘Nna Thaan Case Kodu,’ is reportedly ringing wedding bells.
