In an exclusive announcement, it has been revealed that British writer/performer Ed Weeks has been cast in Christopher Landon’s upcoming thriller “Drop,” produced by Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse.
Weeks, known for his roles in Fox’s “The Mindy Project” and Paramount+’s “French Girl,” joins a talented ensemble including Meghann Fahy, Brandon Sklenar, Violett Beane, and Jacob Robinson. The plot details of the film are being kept under wraps, with Universal slated to release the picture.
Weeks boasts an impressive resume, with credits in both television and film. His previous works include appearances in HBO’s “The Leisure Class” and Fox Broadcasting’s “LA to Vegas,” among others. Additionally, Weeks has showcased his writing talents on various BBC series and sold pilots to major networks such as ABC, CBS, and Showtime.
“Drop,” scripted by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach, is set to be produced by industry heavyweights Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller, and Cameron Fuller, with Ron Lynch and Sam Lerner serving as executive producers.
