Tollywood’s Natural Star, Nani, is set to captivate audiences with his upcoming film, ‘Hi Nanna,’ a heartwarming romantic drama featuring the enchanting actress, Mrunal Thakur. The highly awaited trailer, released on November 24 at 6 pm, promises a delightful cinematic experience.
In a social media update on November 21st, Nani announced the impending release of the two-and-a-half-minute trailer. The unveiled trailer unfolds with Nani narrating a tale involving a king, and as the story progresses, it takes unexpected turns, revealing layers of emotion and a unique narrative structure.
The story introduces Mrunal Thakur’s character, Yashna, who becomes a pivotal figure in the plot. However, a surprising twist introduces Shruti Haasan as Viraj’s wife and Mahi’s mother, adding complexity to the storyline.
Director Shouryuv presents a refreshing family entertainer, infusing magic into the love story and exploring the intricacies of the father-daughter relationship. Nani’s portrayal of a family man showcases his versatility, marking a departure from his previous mass character in Dasara. Mrunal Thakur’s soulful performance and Shruti Haasan’s surprising role contribute to the film’s emotional depth.
Ahead of the film’s release, the unveiled songs, including the trending lyrical video for ‘Ammaadi,’ composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, have added to the film’s appeal. The non-theatrical rights for ‘Hi Nanna’ have reportedly been sold for a substantial amount, around Rs 7 crore, covering satellite, audio, and OTT rights.
Written and directed by debutant Shouryuv, ‘Hi Nanna’ stars Nani, Mrunal Thakur, and child artist Kiara Khanna in lead roles. The film, initially scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 21, has been preponed to December 7 and will be presented in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.
