In recent developments, actress Manisha Yadav has taken a strong stance against director Seenu Ramasamy, who recently refuted allegations of sexual harassment raised by a reporter. The controversy revolves around the unreleased film ‘Idam Porul Eval,’ featuring Vijay Sethupathi, Vishnu Vishal, Nandita Swetha, and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles.
Manisha Yadav, originally cast to play Nandita Swetha’s role in the film, left the project, and a reporter disclosed the reason behind her exit. According to the reporter, Yadav walked out of the film due to alleged sexual harassment by Seenu Ramasamy during the shooting in Kodaikanal.
Director Seenu Ramasamy countered these claims through a social media post, highlighting a moment at the audio launch of ‘Oru Kuppai Kathai,’ where Yadav thanked him while he was the chief guest. Ramasamy denied the allegations, expressing confidence that ‘Idam Porul Eval’ would be released soon, with Yadav making a comeback.
Manisha Yadav, however, responded to Ramasamy’s statement with a scathing reply on social media. She questioned the director’s version of events, stating, “WHAT SORT OF SEENU RAMASAMY MOVIE AM I ACTING IN?? I’M HEARING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME.” Yadav emphasized that her gratitude at the audio launch did not change her past experiences and declared her commitment to the statements made nine years ago. She also questioned the need to collaborate with someone who had shown disrespect in the past, urging Seenu Ramasamy to “get your facts right.”
The social media post by Manisha Yadav brings attention to the ongoing controversy and adds a layer to the narrative, as she stands firm on her allegations of sexual harassment by the acclaimed director.
