Bollywood Star Vivek Oberoi Unveils His Unique Mumbai Residence
Vivek Oberoi, the renowned Bollywood actor, recently provided fans with an exclusive glimpse into his one-of-a-kind Mumbai home, which he designed in collaboration with his wife, Priyanka Alva Oberoi. Reflecting more than mere aesthetics, the residence embodies the couple’s life philosophy.
During a recent interview with a home cleaning service brand, Oberoi offered insights into their Goan farmhouse-style abode. Beginning the tour with an introduction to their pet cow, Kamadhenu, Oberoi emphasized how her presence lends a rustic village ambiance to the home. “This is more her house than mine,” Oberoi remarked, underscoring the unique atmosphere created by the aroma of a cowshed within the bustling city.
Adorned with vintage items, wooden furniture, elegant hanging lights, prominent paintings of Goddess Lakshmi, and an abundance of indoor plants, Oberoi’s home exudes the charm of a farmhouse, in line with their vision. Their commitment to eco-friendliness and staying connected to their roots is evident throughout. “The idea was that this home should come from me and Priyanka, and what it represents is our life,” Oberoi explained, emphasizing their desire for the home to reflect the essence of Goa.
As the tour ventured into the living room and bedroom, Oberoi showcased an array of sentimental items, expressing a fondness for objects steeped in history. Speaking about the antique bed in their bedroom, Oberoi revealed its rich family heritage, dating back over half a century.
Highlighting their efforts to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces, Oberoi pointed out the lush greenery visible through the expansive windows encircling the house. Concluding the tour in the backyard, Oberoi embraced the quirks of their home, stating, “We like this quirkiness and madness.”
Reflecting on the transition from the realm of acting to the comfort of home, Oberoi mused, “I work in a world of make-believe where everything is superficial, but when I walk back from the world to my home, I am not the actor Vivek Oberoi; I am just me.”
