In a recent development, 53-year-old actor Steve Burton, renowned for his role in ‘Days of Our Lives,’ has successfully reached a divorce settlement with his ex-wife Sheree. The couple, who first crossed paths on the set of ‘General Hospital’ and tied the knot in 1999, officially filed for divorce in Orange County Superior Court back in July 2022.
According to court records obtained by People, the divorce settlement intricately outlines the terms of shared legal and physical custody for their minor children, Jack and Brooklyn. As part of the agreement, Steve has committed to paying $12,500 per month in child support until April 2024, with a subsequent reduction to $10,000 per month.
In his filing, Steve sought shared custody of their children and specifically requested the court to eliminate any possibility of spousal support for either party post-divorce. Both parties willingly relinquished any claims to spousal support, both presently and in the future. Sheree, as part of the settlement, is set to receive $50,000 in retroactive assistance.
The recorded separation date, recognized as March 1, attributed irreconcilable differences as the grounds for the divorce.
This divorce filing followed Steve’s Instagram announcement in May, where he clarified the separation and dispelled rumors of Sheree’s pregnancy with her fourth child, confirming it was not his. Sheree, a fitness professional, later confirmed her pregnancy on Instagram in October, revealing that she is expecting her fifth child.
