Mamta was the heroine in the film ‘Two Countries’ directed by Shafi. The 95-day shoot and the many hours of conversations are still vivid in the actor’s mind.
“I told him that fans always ask me when ‘3 Countries’ is coming. He replied that he was working on it. I have so many memories with him. He had a unique ability to find humor in everything. My heart goes out to his family right now. I have no words to express the pain of this loss. Shafiqa, you will always be celebrated in the most loving way, and even though I am saddened at this moment, I will always have a smile on my face when I think of you,” Mamta said in her post.
Shafi’s passing is a huge loss to Malayalam cinema. His contributions to Malayalam cinema will always be remembered.
