Actor Saqib Saleem celebrated his birthday today, and his sister Huma Qureshi made the day even more special by sharing a heartfelt post on Instagram. “Happy Bday my cartoon!! Lobe u to the moon and backkkk @saqibsaleem #april #birthday #boy #love #brother,” Huma wrote alongside a couple of childhood pictures with Saqib.
Huma and Saqib, who hail from Delhi, come from a family with a background in the restaurant business. Their father, Saleem Qureshi, runs a chain of restaurants called Saleem’s in Delhi. However, the siblings chose to pursue careers in Indian cinema instead of joining their father’s business.
Huma is best known for her roles in films like ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’, ‘Leila’, ‘Monica O My Darling’, ‘Double XL’, and ‘Tarla’. She recently ventured into writing and launched her debut novel ‘Zeba: An Accidental Superhero’. The fantasy novel has its own geo- and socio-political spin and reflects Huma’s belief in the power of accepting oneself and the importance of diverse stories, especially those of strong women.
Meanwhile, Saqib has appeared in various projects including ‘Rangbaaz’, ‘Race 3′, ’83’, and ‘Crackdown’. He has also ventured into production and announced the launch of his production house ‘Elemen3entertainment’ last December. Taking to Instagram, Saqib shared a picture of himself sitting on a chair with “producer” written on it, hinting at new projects under his production banner. He is currently working on ‘Kakuda’ and ‘Crime Beat’, both of which are set for an OTT release.
