In a much-anticipated event, Bollywood stars Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani tied the knot in a traditional Sikh wedding ceremony known as ‘Anand Karaj’ in Goa on Wednesday. The ceremony was attended by close family and friends, including prominent Bollywood figures such as Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Shilpa Shetty, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Esha Deol.
The newlyweds chose Goa as the picturesque backdrop for their nuptials, creating an intimate and dreamy ambiance. Rakul looked radiant in a Tarun Tahiliani lehenga adorned with hand-embroidered floral patterns, while Jackky opted for an ivory chikankari sherwani designed by Tahiliani, reflecting his Sindhi heritage.
The highlight of the wedding festivities was a special musical tribute from Jackky Bhagnani to Rakul, in the form of a romantic song titled ‘Bin Tere.’ Jackky, who wrote, composed, and sang the song himself, showcased their love journey through this heartfelt creation.
The couple’s pre-wedding celebrations commenced on February 19, leading up to the grand wedding ceremony on February 21. Following the ‘Anand Karaj,’ the couple also observed the Pheras in the evening, honoring Jackky’s Sindhi roots.
Sharing glimpses of their special day on Instagram, Rakul Preet expressed her joy, captioning the photos, “Mine now and forever [?] 21-02-2024 #abdonobhagna-ni.”
The star-studded guest list included congratulatory messages from industry colleagues, with Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Dia Mirza among those extending their wishes.
On the professional front, Rakul Preet Singh is set to appear in ‘Indian 2’ alongside Kamal Haasan, while Jackky Bhagnani is eagerly awaiting the release of his production ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, scheduled to hit theaters on Eid 2024 and featuring Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sonakshi Sinha, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles.
