Veteran actor Jagapathi Babu, renowned for his versatile roles and particularly as an antagonist in the Indian film industry, has confirmed his role as the main villain in Allu Arjun’s upcoming film ‘Pushpa 3’.
The talented actor, who previously portrayed the antagonist in Salman Khan’s ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan’, has been signed on for ‘Pushpa 2’, directed by Sukumar. In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, Jagapathi Babu disclosed details about his character, saying, “I am playing the main antagonist in ‘Pushpa 3’. I will be introduced towards the end of ‘Pushpa 2’, and the groundwork for my character will be laid out in ‘Pushpa 3’. It is a very intriguing role, and I am eagerly looking forward to ‘Pushpa 3’.”
The announcement comes on the heels of the much-anticipated teaser release of ‘Pushpa 2’ on Allu Arjun’s birthday. The film, a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, continues the story from where it left off. Rashmika Mandanna will reprise her role as ‘Srivalli’ in the sequel.
In addition to his role in the ‘Pushpa’ series, Jagapathi Babu is also gearing up for the release of the Bollywood film ‘Ruslaan’, in which he stars alongside Ayush Sharma. The film features an ensemble cast including Suneil Shetty, Sushrii Shreya Mishraa, Vidya Malavade, and others, and is scheduled to hit the screens on April 26.
