In a recent interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, veteran comedian Johny Lever shared insights into his experiences working with Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in the 1995 blockbuster film “Karan Arjun,” directed by Rakesh Roshan.
Reflecting on the dynamics on set, Lever discussed the contrasting work styles of the two leading actors. According to him, Salman Khan was described as a laid-back individual with a relaxed demeanor. Lever praised Salman’s easygoing nature, highlighting the actor’s preference for a lighter approach to his work. Lever mentioned that Salman didn’t stress much and often lived in his own world during the filming of “Karan Arjun.”
On the other hand, Lever spoke highly of Shah Rukh Khan’s dedication and commitment to his craft. He revealed that SRK deeply immersed himself in his roles, discussing characters thoroughly and paying attention to details. Lever expressed admiration for Shah Rukh Khan’s meticulous approach, especially evident in his captivating on-screen entrances.
“We used to have a lot of fun together, but Salman, he’s a laid-back guy, he doesn’t stress much, he’s somewhat aloof, living in his own world. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan is deeply dedicated to his work. He delves into the details, discussing his roles thoroughly. So, with Salman, I might leave the conversation early, but with Shah Rukh Khan, I engage deeply. My role is my focus, I delve into it. Salman prefers a lighter approach, questioning why I delve so deeply. It’s just a matter of nature; Salman has his style, and Shah Rukh Khan has his. However, Shah Rukh Khan’s dedication to his craft shines through, and his meticulous approach is appreciated by many, especially evident in his captivating entrances,” Johny revealed in Hindi.
