According to reports, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD plan to release the movie on OTT platforms 10 weeks after its theatrical run, meaning the film will hit streaming services in early September. Prime Video India has reportedly secured the streaming rights for the regional language versions, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, while Netflix India will offer the Hindi version. However, the exact release date on these platforms is yet to be officially announced.
The star-studded cast of Kalki 2898 AD includes Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, among others. The film’s remarkable success has been celebrated by the industry, with Kamal Haasan recently sharing a heartfelt video message about the movie’s achievement of crossing the Rs 1,000 crore mark worldwide. Haasan, who played the role of antagonist Yaskin, expressed his joy at this significant milestone and acknowledged the rarity of such accomplishments in his extensive career. He also hinted at having a more substantial role in the upcoming second part of Kalki 2898 AD, further piquing the interest of fans.
