Renowned for her bold opinions and outspoken nature, actress Kangana Ranaut has hinted at a potential entry into politics, deeming it the opportune moment for such a move. In an interview with TV9 Bharatvarsh, she disclosed her past clashes with political parties on film sets but emphasized her belief that she doesn’t require an official position to contribute to the betterment of the country. While asserting that she remains an actor foremost, Kangana stated, “if I want to get into politics, I probably think this is the right time,” though clarifying she currently has no immediate plans to contest elections.
Reflecting on her diverse on-screen portrayals representing various regions of India, Kangana highlighted her roles in films such as Thalaivii, Chandramukhi 2, Queen, Tanu Weds Manu, and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, as well as her directorial debut Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, where she portrayed the role of freedom fighter Rani Lakshmibai.
Expressing a sense of responsibility towards the country that has given her much, Kangana stated, “I have always been more of a nationalist, and that image has taken over even my very glorious acting career. I do have the awareness that I am deeply loved and appreciated.”
