In his latest album collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign titled ‘Vultures 1’, rapper Kanye West has once again mentioned Taylor Swift in the 12th track, ‘Carnival.’ The artist draws comparisons between himself and controversial figures such as R. Kelly and Bill Cosby, both convicted of sexual assault, as well as Puff Daddy, who faced sexual assault allegations last year.
The tumultuous relationship between Swift and West dates back to the 2009 Video Music Awards, where West interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech, claiming Beyonce had the best video. In 2016, West’s song “Famous” reignited the feud with the lyrics, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b**** famous.”
Swift refuted West’s assertion that she had approved the line, leading to Kim Kardashian, West’s then-wife, releasing a selectively edited recording of a phone call between West and Swift. However, the complete conversation, unveiled in 2020, contradicted the earlier narrative, supporting Swift’s claim that the call was manipulated to tarnish her reputation. Swift emphasized that the leaked, edited version caused distress to her, her family, and fans over four years.
