In a recent development, actress-comedian Kathy Griffin, 63, and Randy Bick have decided to part ways after almost four years of marriage. Griffin filed for divorce in the Superior Court of California, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the grounds for their separation. The date of separation was noted as December 22 in the court documents, as reported by People magazine.
The legal filings revealed that Griffin has requested the termination of the court’s ability to award spousal support to both parties. Furthermore, she urged the court to enforce a premarital agreement dated December 23, 2019. The news of their separation comes just days before what would have marked their fourth wedding anniversary.
Taking to Instagram to share her sentiments, Griffin expressed, “Well…s***. This sucks.” The comedian and Bick began their relationship in 2011 but tied the knot in January 2020. Lily Tomlin officiated the ceremony, where Griffin chose to wear the same dress she had worn on their first date.
During the time of their wedding, Griffin mentioned their unconventional approach to rings, stating, “Randy and I are doing sort of toy rings for the ceremony because neither one of us like wearing rings ever. So we will never wear rings. Deal with it.”
This divorce follows Griffin’s previous marriage to Matt Moline, which lasted from 2001 to 2006.
