The 70th National Film Awards, honoring films released in 2022, were announced on Friday, August 16. Kannada film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ received top honors, winning Best Kannada Film and Best Action Direction (Stunt Choreography) in the Feature Films category. Directed by Prashanth Neel and featuring Yash in the lead role, the film also earned accolades for its action direction by Anbariv.
The sequel to the period action film ‘KGF’, ‘KGF Chapter 2’ boasts a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj, Achyuth Kumar, and Rao Ramesh. The film’s music is composed by Ravi Basrur. With a global box office collection of Rs 1250 crore, ‘KGF Chapter 2’ ranks as the third highest-grossing film in the world, following ‘RRR’ and ‘Baahubali’.
