In an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Khushbu discussed how her limited filmography in Hindi only has a few regrets, but in Tamil cinema, she has several. She specifically mentioned Annaatthe, explaining that the role didn’t turn out as promised to her.
Initially, the film was supposed to feature her and actress Meena as the heroines, but as the project progressed, Rajinikanth was paired with another actress, and Khushbu’s character was changed.
She described her character as being turned into a “caricaturish” one, which left her feeling disappointed after seeing the final product during the dubbing session.
