Renowned singer and daughter of music maestro Ilaiyaraaja, Bhavatharini, tragically passed away yesterday evening in Sri Lanka after battling stomach cancer. The family is making arrangements to bring her mortal remains back to India today. The news has sent shockwaves through the film fraternity, with Kollywood celebrities expressing their grief and condolences.
Director Bharathiraja, a close friend of Ilaiyaraaja, expressed his sorrow in a heartfelt Tamil message, stating, “How will I comfort my friend. The demise of daughter Bhavatharini is an irreplaceable loss to our family.”
Bhavatharini, sister of Yuvan Shankar Raja and Karthik Raja, received condolences from various celebrities. Actor Silambarasan shared, “The voice that forever lives in the heart of people for its innocence and love! You were a pure soul! Gone too soon!”
Director Karthik Subbaraj expressed shock and sadness, offering his condolences to Ilaiyaraaja, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Karthik Raja, and the entire family.
