Renowned actress Keerthy Suresh, celebrated for her remarkable performances in the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam film industries, is set to make her much-anticipated Bollywood debut. Following her appearance in ‘Bhola Shankar,’ the versatile actress has signed up for a new Hindi film, tentatively titled ‘VD 18,’ alongside the charismatic Varun Dhawan.
The official announcement of ‘VD 18’ was made by the film’s makers through a captivating video on Sunday, shared across various social media platforms by Keerthy Suresh herself. Expressing her enthusiasm for the project, she emphasized its significance as a special venture, akin to working with friends and family.
In a tweet, Keerthy Suresh urged fans to shower their blessings on this heartfelt project, stating, “This one is going to be very special working with my friends, like family.”
Directed by Kalees, the star-studded cast includes Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles. The film is produced by director Atlee in collaboration with Jio Studios. While the project is eagerly awaited, the official title of the film is yet to be unveiled.
The movie marks the official Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster ‘Theri,’ featuring Vijay, Samantha, and Amy Jackson. Keerthy Suresh takes on the role originally portrayed by Samantha in the Tamil version.
Director Kalees, known for his work in the Tamil film ‘Kee,’ is helming the remake of ‘Theri’ in Hindi. Keerthy Suresh, in addition to her exciting Bollywood debut, has a diverse lineup of projects in various stages of production. These include ‘Sire,’ ‘Raghu Thatha,’ ‘Revolver Rita,’ and ‘Kannivedi.’
