In a recent “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) session on Instagram, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt candidly discussed the challenges of leaving her daughter Raha and shared personal insights into motherhood and dealing with anxiety.
Alia Bhatt, known for her roles in films like ‘Gully Boy’ and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ married actor Ranbir Kapoor in a traditional Hindu ceremony on April 14, 2022. The couple welcomed their daughter Raha in November 2022.
During the AMA session, a fan inquired about Alia’s feelings of separation anxiety for Raha. The actress responded, stating, “It’s never easy leaving her. But I guess that’ll take a while to change. Knowing she’s with family even when I’m away makes me feel less guilty somehow.”
The 30-year-old actress also revealed some endearing nicknames for her baby girl, including “Rahu Rara Lollipop.”
Addressing another fan query about dealing with anxiety, Alia shared her personal coping mechanisms. “We all have certain things that might trigger our anxiety – for example, I find myself getting very worked up with any sudden change or a situation I have no control over. But it took me a long while to understand that. So prior to any of these moments, I just try and be aware of it, and if it’s too much, I allow myself to check out and feel the way I feel.”
She emphasized the importance of not trying to control emotions, suggesting, “Trying to control how you feel sometimes does more harm than good. Also, speak to someone who you can trust! It helps.”
The AMA session concluded with Alia expressing her plans for yoga and bidding farewell to her followers, saying, “Okay, yoga time… that was fun… happy Sunday everyone… bye-bye. See you soon.”
On the professional front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in the role of Keya in ‘Heart of Stone’ and has the film ‘Jigra’ in the pipeline. With a massive fanbase of 81.5 million followers on Instagram, the actress continues to engage with her audience on various aspects of her life.
