The anticipation for Allu Arjun’s upcoming film, ‘Pushpa 2,’ has intensified recently, fueled by a viral video showcasing Arjun in a new look without his signature long beard. As one of the year’s most awaited action thrillers, the film has frequently made headlines. Amidst swirling rumors of a rift between Arjun and director Sukumar, the filmmakers have now confirmed the release date.
On July 23, the official Twitter account for the ‘Pushpa’ franchise shared IMDb’s announcement that highlighted ‘Pushpa 2’ as the most anticipated film of the year. The tweet read, “#ThaggedheLe #Pushpa2TheRule Grand release worldwide on 6th DEC 2024.” Fans can check out the post here: Pushpa Tweet.
The confirmation comes as a relief to fans who have been concerned about potential delays due to rumors of discord between Arjun and Sukumar. Speculation had arisen that Arjun was dissatisfied with Sukumar, possibly leading to production delays. This speculation was partly fueled by Arjun’s recent appearance with his family, sporting a new look that diverged from his ‘Pushpa’ character’s trademark long beard. Reports suggested that the film was scheduled to wrap up in August, and the changes in Arjun’s appearance led to concerns about disagreements between the actor and director. Industry insiders claimed that Arjun might have been unhappy with unscheduled shooting breaks, with trimming his beard seen as a possible protest against the extended production schedule.
Despite these rumors, Allu Arjun’s friend and producer Bunny Vasu has confirmed that there are no issues between the actor and director. According to Vasu, both Arjun and Sukumar are laughing off the rumors. The film, which was initially scheduled for release on August 15, will now premiere on December 6.
