In a much-anticipated development for fans, Mammootty’s upcoming horror drama, ‘Bramayugam,’ is slated to hit the big screens on February 15. The renowned actor took to his official Twitter handle to share the exciting news that the film has been awarded a clean U/A certificate by the censor board.
The announcement was accompanied by a captivating black-and-white poster of ‘Bramayugam,’ showcasing Mammootty in a mesmerizingly intense character with an eerie smile, heightening the anticipation surrounding the movie. Notably, the megastar is set to play a negative role in this horror thriller.
Mammootty’s tweet read, “#Bramayugam (Malayalam) – Certified UA. In Cinemas From FEB 15! #BramayugamFromFeb15.”
The teaser, released earlier by the filmmakers, hinted at a spine-chilling narrative set in an old Kerala-style bungalow, further adding to the intrigue and suspense surrounding the project.
Apart from Mammootty’s stellar performance, “Bramayugam” features a talented ensemble cast, including Arjun Ashokan, Amalda Liz, and Siddharth Bharathan in pivotal roles.
The U/A certification ensures that the film is accessible to a diverse audience, including children above the age of twelve, promising an experience filled with chills and thrills. Drawing inspiration from Rahul Sadasivan’s earlier film ‘Bhoothakaalam,’ ‘Bramayugam’ is expected to rely on visual horror rather than explicit gore.
As the release date draws near, fans are eagerly anticipating Mammootty’s portrayal of a negative character in this highly awaited horror flick.
