Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri, who gained fame with her debut alongside Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Rockstar’ and appeared in five films in 2016, experienced a slowdown in her career in the subsequent years. However, 2023 marked a turning point for her with her roles in the movie ‘Shiv Shastri Balboa’ and the web show ‘Tatlubaaz’, marking her debut in the OTT space.
Promising her fans more exciting projects, Fakhri said, “Have some patience, because I am coming soon.” She also revealed, “At the end of 2024 I have a film and a web show coming up,” highlighting that filmmakers now see her in a different light. Speaking about her role in ‘Tatlubaaz’, she said, “My last show saw me in a character that I never imagined I could play. I sported desi looks and beautiful sarees. We shot in Banaras (Varanasi) and there was so much Indianness in my role. It was a challenge to do ‘Tatlubaaz’, but I took it up to see if I could pull it off. There were some love-making scenes that I wasn’t sure of doing, but it looks very tastefully shot. I would love to do more such roles in the future.”
Meanwhile, actress Malaika Arora, known for her roles in films like ‘Madras Café’, ‘Main Tera Hero’, and ‘Housefull 3’, emphasized the importance of green spaces in urban areas. Speaking on the evolving landscape of the entertainment industry with the rise of digital platforms, Arora said, “I think a lot is opening up for everyone because now there are so many platforms where you can perform, be it web shows, music videos, or films. So many new streaming platforms are also coming up. Our massive consumption of content has also led to a lot more content being made these days. I consume so much that I am always craving for fresh content. I need more.”
