In a recent interview, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan expressed his excitement about stepping into the year 2024 and returning to the theaters after his film “Bawaal” released on an OTT platform in 2023. The actor, known for his versatility, discussed his experiences working on different projects, including a massy action film (VD 18) and his first web series, “Citadel.”
Reflecting on the past year, Dhawan described 2023 as a working year focused on honing his craft. Despite not having a theatrical release in the previous year, he shared his anticipation for 2024, where all the projects he worked on are set to hit the big screen. Dhawan acknowledged the challenges of pushing the scale of his films but expressed eagerness to make his movies more significant and attract audiences back to theaters.
Discussing his OTT film “Bawaal,” Dhawan emphasized that he is not afraid of taking risks and experimenting with different roles. He mentioned the special experience of working on “Bawaal” and expressed interest in collaborating with the film’s director, Nitesh Tiwari, again. Dhawan also revealed plans to explore his funny side through two upcoming comedy films.
With over a decade in Bollywood and a diverse filmography, Dhawan was asked about tapping into his full potential. While acknowledging the common sentiment among actors, he emphasized the importance of being content with one’s journey and creating opportunities.
