Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju has clarified rumors about his father’s health, stating that actor Maniyanpilla Raju is well after battling throat cancer. Niranj mentioned that although his father experienced weight loss due to chemotherapy and radiation, he is recovering and will soon be back to his normal life and diet. Maniyanpilla Raju is also set to appear in the upcoming film ‘Thudarum’ with Mohanlal and Shobana. Concerns arose when the actor appeared visibly thinner at a recent wedding event.
While there were several speculations on the health condition of the actor Maniyanpilla Raju, his son Niranj has now cleared all the rumors. According to On Manorama, Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju said that his father is a cancer survivor and he also dismissed all the rumors regarding Maniyanpilla Raju’s present health condition, saying that the ‘Nair Saab’ actor is perfectly health now and is returning to normal life.
Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju said, “My father is doing well now. We’ve seen some comments claiming that he is critically ill, but we don’t have the time to address every baseless rumor. He was battling throat cancer, and naturally, his thyroid levels fluctuate due to the chemotherapy and radiation, which contributed to his weight loss. It takes time—about six months—for the skin in the mouth and throat to heal. Once that happens, he’ll be able to enjoy his favorite foods again and gradually regain weight.”
Niranj also updated that Maniyanpilla Raju will be active in films as usual and his next film is with Mohanlal in Tharun Moorthy’s directorial ‘Thudarum’ which also stars the legendary Shobana in the lead. An exact release date for ‘Thudarum’ is yet to be announced officially by the makers.
For the unversed, netizens were quite concerned when they saw the videos of Maniyanpilla Raju who attended producer S George’s daughter’s wedding recently as the actor visibly looked thinner and reports say that he also had trouble while speaking. Now Niraj’s perfect response has put an end to such concerns and the audiences are eagerly waiting for the upcoming movies of Maniyanpilla Raju.
