During the romantic month of February, the couple, then participants in a couples’ dance competition, captivated audiences with a proposal that could easily rival any Bollywood script. Unbeknownst to Sargun, Ravi orchestrated a magical moment on the glittering sets of the show. With both sets of parents as witnesses, Ravi took a classic approach, going down on one knee and gifting Sargun a dazzling solitaire ring.
Recalling the unforgettable proposal, Ravi shared, “Finding the perfect ring for her was a task. Sargun was shell-shocked. She had no clue about it. She was happy, dumbfounded, tongue-tied. I will always remember her expression.”
Adding a layer of intrigue to the story, Ravi revealed the meticulous planning that took place behind the scenes. With limited time and Sargun’s watchful eyes during rehearsals, he orchestrated a surprise that would become a lasting memory for the couple.
“I decided all this in a very limited span of time. First, I arranged for Sargun’s mom to come to Mumbai, who, in turn, convinced her dad to also come along. Then I put them in a hotel. Arranging for all this with Sargun being around me 24×7 for the rehearsals wasn’t easy, as Sargun is extremely sharp. To pull it through was a task in itself,” Ravi disclosed.
Fast forward to December of the same year, and the couple solidified their love with a wedding ceremony, marking the beginning of their ‘happily ever after’ journey. Now, eight years later, Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta continue to set couple goals, exemplifying the enduring power of love and commitment.
