Actress Raai Laxmi is set to make her much-anticipated return to Malayalam cinema with the upcoming film ‘DNA’. This marks her comeback after a break of six years, with her last Malayalam film being ‘Oru Kuttanadan Blog’ alongside Mammootty, which was released in 2018.
Excitement is in the air as Raai Laxmi recently teased her role in ‘DNA’ by sharing glimpses of her character, IPS officer Rachel Punnoose, on Instagram. This is not the first time the actress has portrayed a cop on screen; she previously played a police officer in ‘Aaru Sundarimaarude Katha’.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Raai Laxmi posted on social media, “Meet IPS Rachel Punnoose soon in theatres. #DNA, my next in Malayalam. Excited to share the trailer soon.”
Directed by TS Suresh Babu, ‘DNA’ is expected to be a suspense thriller and boasts a stellar cast including Askar Soud, Indrans, Aju Varghese, Namitha Pramod, Honey Rose, and Johny Antony.
Meanwhile, director Jeethu Joseph has praised the film ‘Varshangalkku Shesham’, particularly highlighting the performance of Dhyan Sreenivasan as impressive.
Prior to ‘DNA’, Raai Laxmi was last seen in the Bollywood film ‘Bholaa’, directed by Ajay Devgn.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of ‘DNA’, which promises to be a gripping addition to the Malayalam film industry.
