Renowned actress Raakhee Gulzar, known for her preference for a private life in Panvel away from the public eye, is currently in Kolkata for the shooting of Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s film, “Aamar Boss.” Despite her love for solitude, Raakhee’s affection for Bengal remains evident.
During the shoot at Victoria Memorial, the veteran actress, spotting a lion at the outer gate, spontaneously sang the famous Bengali song, ‘Shing nei tobu naam tar singha.’ Engaging with the growing crowd, Raakhee interacted with a child seeking an autograph and even shared a moment with a vendor selling an assortment of plastic toys. She expressed optimism about the vendor’s business for the day.
The film’s director, Shiboprosad, commended Raakhee’s kindness, citing instances such as her gesture of buying a cake for the team during a shoot at a departmental store. “Aamar Boss” also stars Sauraseni Maitra, Shruti Das, Aishwarya Sen, Uma Banerjee, and Averi Singha Roy, all seen filming at Victoria Memorial. The cast includes Gourab Chatterjee, Kanchan Mullick, and Bhaskar Banerjee in significant roles, with Uma and Kanchan having previously worked on the director duo’s Puja release, “Raktabeej.”
